OUR STORY

Founded in 1987 by Lou Negley, the business was built on a simple mission: provide quality bottled water and deliver exceptional service to every customer.

What started as a single opportunity quickly became the foundation for a lasting family business. Lou was a football coach in Ohio and one day he received a call from a former middle school player who had gone on to become president of a steel mill in New Castle. The former player asked if Lou could supply bottled water for the facility, and Lou said yes.

That first order set everything in motion. Service was built one delivery at a time, beginning with just 120 bottles and a commitment to serve his customer well. Each Wednesday, Lou ran delivery routes through Sharon and into New Castle, steadily growing the business through reliability, hard work, and word-of-mouth referrals.

In 1990, Lou's wife Rita joined the business, helping support its continued growth as demand expanded. As the company evolved, Shawn and John were raised alongside it, spending their early years learning the operations of the business, working alongside their parents, and gaining firsthand experience in the dedication and customer care that built the company.

What began with Lou and one other team member has grown into a trusted, multi-generational family business serving homes and businesses throughout the region. While the business has continued to grow over the years, its foundation remains unchanged through hard work, personal relationships, and a commitment to reliable local service that has defined Lou Negley's Bottled Water from the very beginning.
